Died on the 25th February 1945. Aged 27.
Sappers J.J. Collin and Lance Sergeant H.T. Sawford also died at this incident.
Buried at Jonkerbos War Cemetery.

Kenneth Hawes is my husbands father. My husband named Melvyn Kenneth Patrick Hawes. He was two when his father was killed. Always told it was a mine that exploded but would like to know more. Kind regards, Liz

Was Sarah Ethel married to Kenneth , we know her name was Forde ,only we cant find a marriage for him
