Welcome to the Royal Engineers Association – Bomb Disposal Branch website.
The aim of the site is to provide a meeting point for all those involved in Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) or Search whether serving ex-serving members of the Royal Engineers and a source of material for those researching the work of the Royal Engineers or family history and the wider EOD community.

The REA BD Branch was formed in 1946 as an Old Comrades Association, formed by the veterans of the Second World War.
In 1951 it was renamed the REA BD Branch and is part of the Royal Engineers Association. Membership is open to all serving and ex-serving, Regular or TA, from Sapper to Colonel, and we look forward to welcoming you into the branch.
The Branch has active links with the EOD Regiments, 33 Engineer Regiment
Each year a contingent of the Branch represents the EOD at the annual service of Remembrance at the Cenotaph in London.
We firmly believe in the REA motto “Service not Self”
