after many years no one has worked out that my dad was not 35 when he was killed in 1944
he was born 4 april 1910 therefore he was only 34 .i wish i could get more information into the events leading up to this.was it a result of the secret mine that the germans had developed for d day the one with 3 fuses,the last one being a light sensative one

after numerous messages my fathers age at death is wrong.he was born 4 april 1910 therefore he was only 34 when he died.i would like to know the circmstances resulting in his death
e mail sent 21/11/2023 with Casualty and Service Cards for Lance Corporal EC Duthiot. He died during beach mine clearance operations at Brighton. These operations were ongoing from 1943 to clear the beach minefields laid as anti invasion measures. 150 Royal Engineer personnel died during these operations from 1943 to 1953. Details of age were from CWGC who show only Date of death and age.
